The PXIe-1084 is a high-performance PXI Express chassis from National Instruments (NI) for use in a variety of scientific, industrial and test applications. The chassis has several key features and a wide range of applications.

Case cooling
Module cooling: Forced air circulation (positive pressure) through three 210 CFM fans, with module air intakes located at the rear of the bottom of the chassis and exhaust ports located at the top of the chassis.
Auxiliary cooling: Forced air circulation (positive pressure) through a 70 CFM fan, side intake on the right side of the case and side exhaust on the left side of the case.
Power cooling: Forced air circulation through two integrated fans, with the power intake located behind the top of the case and the exhaust port located on the top of the case.
Minimum shelf cooling gap:
Top: 44.45 mm (1.75 in.).
Rear: 101.60 mm (4.00 in.).
Both sides: 44.45 mm (1.75 in.).
